Mélissa Cembolista is born in Jette, Belgium (1996). She’s an animation student at LUCA-School Of Arts – Brussels (started in 2016 – Bachelor 2021). Before art school she spent seven years in graphic design school. At a young age she loved all the details behind traditional animation through Studio Ghibli. This was the reason she worked to the bone to get into Luca School of Arts to start her journey in animation. She is mainly interested in being a storyboard artist, character artist or background artist. She’s an aspiring tattoo artist and ceramist with her own little shop called umé atelier.

Over the years her interest for Zero-Waste and ecology has grown. She’s doing research on how environmental protection has changed our way of life and how it can affect us in either a good or bad way. For her bachelor thesis she did research on ecology in stop-motion.
